First Women Bank Ltd. net profit has crossed to Rs. 1.8 Billion in the last five and half years as compared to the profits of Rs. 20 Million for the last 11 years. Addressing the 17th Annual Conference of FWBL, Ms. Zarine Aziz President expressed her satisfaction over the performance of the Bank. She said that Bank in it endeavor to provide quality service to its customers and the online connectivity and ATM will further enhance the performance and coverage of the Bank. She said our mission for transforming the status of women from passive beneficiaries to dynamic agents would be continued. The theme of the conference was Mission Possible. Targets were allocated to the participants of the conference for the last quarter of the current year.

The conference was attended by the Senior Executives, Divisional Heads, Regional Heads and Branch Managers. Ms. Zarine Aziz President on this occasion awarded the management and staff for their outstanding performance in the year 2005.

Sialkot Branch was declared the Best Corporate Branch of the Bank, while award for best medium size Branch was given to Mall Branch Lahore. Jamrud Road Branch received award in the category of the Best Small Size Branch.

Best Branch in Foreign Exchange in the exports category was awarded to Main Boulevard Branch Lahore while Clifton Branch Karachi was declared the best branch in foreign exchange for imports.

In individual categories award for the best performer, branch level was given to Ms. Shafquat Rana of Mall Branch Lahore. Ms. Shahjabeen Zafar Regional Chief Punjab was declared the Best Groomed Professional. Excellence Award was given to Mr. Suhail Awan Manager FWBL / ILO’s IPEC Project. Excellence Award for Advances was given to Blue Area Branch Islamabad and Wah Cantt Branch.

Award of Honor was given to IT Division Head office for their outstanding efforts for connecting the Bank online and ATM.

Trend Setters award was given to Ms. Syeda Riffat Hasnain of Wah Cantt Branch. Ms. Shehla of Head Office and Ms. Khaula of Audit Office Lahore were declared the most supportive staff for clerical staff category.

Mr. Asif of Head Office and Mr. Ali Akbar of Multan Branch received award for most supportive staff for non-clerical category.

Certificate of Excellence for Individual category was awarded to Ms. Nudrat of Audit Office Karachi for her personal efforts for increasing the Deposits of the Bank while Al-Amin Branch Rawalpindi and Larkana Branch were awarded certificate of Excellence in the branch category.
