A trailblazer going from strength to strength in the course of her illustrious career, Ms. Sima Kamil has set a high bar for women professionals to aspire to. Making her mark, Ms. Sima Kamil was the first woman to be appointed President UBL and head a major commercial bank of its size in Pakistan’s history, and thereafter has been the first-ever woman to be appointed the Deputy Governor of SBP, the prestigious role in which she currently serves. Ms. Sima Kamil was named in the publication Pakistan Today as one of 18 women that comprised the ‘Pakistan’s Only Powerful Women in Business’ list (2017). With over 35 years of diverse experience in commercial banking, Ms. Sima Kamil has a rich and varied banking career, serving in several senior management positions at HBL including Head of Corporate & Investment Banking and Head of Branch Banking, and has also held the position of Director at Microfinance Bank.
